چکیده
Abstract In this work, hydrothermal treatment was assessed for the fractionation of industrial Eucalyptus globulus bark residue (EBR) to obtain biofuels and value-added compounds (such as oligosaccharides phenolic compounds) in separated streams. Hydrothermal evaluated under non-isothermal regimen range maximum temperature (Tmax) 177–228 °C or severities (S0) between 2.76 4.25. The highest concentration (17.5 g/L) achieved at S0 3.69, corresponding hemicellulose recovery 77.30%. Under all over 90.94% 84.17% cellulose lignin remained solid phase, respectively. increase improved 4.38-fold enzymatic saccharification cellulose, glucose yield (84%) being 4.04. Considering maximal polysaccharides from liquid phases, 4.04 selected bioethanol production using high loadings following different strategies (simultaneous fermentation – SSF pre-saccharification simultaneous PSSF). utilization 15% hydrothermally pretreated EBR without nutrient supplementation resulted 26 g/L ethanol, independently strategy used. An up 17.5% solids employing enabled 38 g/L (or 4.8% v/v) ethanol by PSSF.

Removal of chromium from industrial waste by using eucalyptus bark.
Several low cost biomaterials such as baggase, charred rice husk, activated charcoal and eucalyptus bark (EB) were tested for removal of chromium. All the experiments were carried out in batch process with laboratory prepared samples and wastewater obtained from metal finishing section of auto ancillary unit. The adsorbent, which had highest chromium(VI) removal was EB. Influences of chromium c...
متن کاملGenomic of Eucalyptus globulus for pulp and biofuels
Eucalyptus is a species of great interest for the pulp and paper industry. Worldwide there are 20 million hectares planted and within Chile a total of 700.000 ha, being the main species grown for short-fibre pulp Eucalyptus globulus, which is extensively used for pulping due to its fast growth, high pulp yield, and good fiber properties. Genetic programs of this specie have been oriented in imp...
متن کاملSupercritical Fluid Extraction of Eucalyptus globulus Bark—A Promising Approach for Triterpenoid Production
Eucalyptus bark contains significant amounts of triterpenoids with demonstrated bioactivity, namely triterpenic acids and their acetyl derivatives (ursolic, betulinic, oleanolic, betulonic, 3-acetylursolic, and 3-acetyloleanolic acids). In this work, the supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of Eucalyptus globulus deciduous bark was carried out with pure and modified carbon dioxide to recover th...

"The authentic facts, relating to the remarkable power of the Eucalyptus Globulus in drjing marsh lands and rendering them healthy, are such as to deserve serious and general attention. It appears to be certain that where the Eucalyptus prospers intermittent fever disappears. This tree grows with incredible rapidity, absorbs ten times its own weight of water in twentyfour hours, and spreads thr...
متن کاملProduction of Tannin from the Bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis
Tannin is a very versatile industrial material found in many parts of plants such as the bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis (EC). The bark of EC that normally peels off during the dry season has usually served as anxious substrate for pathogens. In the present experiment, tannin was leached from the bark of EC using water as solvent. Tannin produced varied from 5 to 12%. The yield obtained was fou...
